Milo competed in the OI section at Lincoln in Sunday. Thankfully the weather was much better than at Isleham and Milo seemed more settled and produced a nice dressage test to score 31.8.
He did however have to show jump in a terrible rain storm and, having had to wait in the arena for quite some time whilst the arena party rebuilt the course after the previous contestant he just clipped the first fence. I think he'd switched off a little and was slightly taken by surprise! After that he jumped a lovely round and overall his show jumping is looking much better than last year.
He breezed around the cross country making it all look very easy. Mark was pleased with his round and despite not having been worried about the time managed to come in with only 4.8 time faults. They finished 6th in their section and full of confidence for the next run at Belton on the 1st.
Mark had a good day on the other boys, winning an OI section on Riley (Grass Valley) and coming 8th with Leo in the Intermediate who was having his first full run since August last year.
