A sunny day in Germany....

We're having a very relaxing time here at Luhmuhlen. Mark schooled milo a little this morning on the flat. He looked the most relaxed he's ever looked at this point at a three day event.

He did a little jumping this evening. All very easy. The odd trademark drop of a left foreleg but nothing we haven't seen a hundred times before and certainly all the poles stayed in their cups.

Pete and I walked the course. It's definitely a 4* track with lots of questions including 3 demanding water complexes. Lots of the trickier fences come towards the end which will mean that fitness of horse and rider will definitely be key.

There are fountains just behind the first part of the second water, with the horses being asked to land right in amongst them - I think the riders are in discussions with the ground jury!!

Also under debate is the distance between the 2 corners in the main arena. Mark is the rider's rep here so he is right in amongst the conversations.

A couple of photos of the course....
