Aston Le Walls

Finally, a lovely sunny day - just a bit muddy on the ground but I shouldn't complain as we stayed dry all day.

Milo played a blinder today and finished 4th in the Advanced without really trying. He jumped a lovely show jumping clear round, as always perhaps not the most orthodox of styles but always careful.

He then went on to cruise round the cross-country making it look effortless. In the past he has been know to get a little strong on these types of courses but today he stayed relaxed from start to finish and Mark was virtually on a loose rein coming in to the last few combinations.

When Mark wins gold next week we, of course, will claim that Milo's experienced and chilled round today gave him just that little extra edge of confidence needed to win!!

Finally a big thank you to Nigel Taylor and all the organisers at Aston today. They moved mountains to make sure the event did run despite the horrible conditions in the run up to this weekend. We are all very grateful for the chance to be out and about at last.
