Milo had a great day yesterday. He jumped a lovely clear show jumping round. Once again not touching a single pole. I think his show jumping is just getting better and better, even his warm-up for this phase is not as difficult to watch as it once was.
He then went on to jump a very confident clear around the cross-country to finish with just 5.2 time faults. With Burghley starting in just over 2 weeks time Mark was not going to push him to be inside the time on the cross country, they were just aiming for a relaxed, rhythmic round setting him up nicely for the big test that starts on the 29th.
He finished a very credible 16th out of an enormous field of 97 horses. He collected some prize money and 8 points which pushes his BE points total to over 500! A great achievement for a horse that was once almost surely heading for the scrapheap.
